UPANAYAN

Vasudha Jhunjhunwala says-

They said, “Upanayan is like 2nd birth.” I did not quite comprehend the meaning of this statement, until I experienced the depth of this sacred ceremony. The next few days of the course was experiencing the infinite energy which got released from somewhere I don’t know! As if a nuclear reaction had happened inside me, I could not fathom where so much energy was being experienced throughout the day. I was barely sleeping for 4 hours still all daily chores were being completed effortlessly.

In fact, much more was accomplished than regular days. Something has changed for sure, what it is, I will only discover as I move ahead with this beautiful new friend, the Gayatri Mantra. I look forward to building a strong relationship with my new friend and look forward to exploring the possibilities of this new alliance in future. Because as they rightly said, “I am twice born now.”

Shahveer Irani says-

To propel into the infinite space, a rocket requires a series of boosters. Similarly, one requires a series of boosters to propel oneself into the infinity of knowledge & spirituality. The 1st booster for me was the Sudarshan Kriya. It lifted me off the ground that I was so hopelessly stuck to. The 2nd booster was the Advanced Course that gave me enough speed to stay in my orbit around the earth and not fall back to the ground. The final booster that has pulled me from the gravity of things is the Upanayan. The chanting of the Gayatri Mantra everyday has kept me steady and opened me to the infinity of space my rocket is now in and has made me capable of understanding it.

Upanayan course – an eye operate the doorway to divinity, simple yet so profound. The fountain of creativity, cleansing the atmaa elimination of Karmas, past & future. The ultimate tarpan to our lineage of ancestors, and Guru path. I am so lucky to have a guru and as teacher is Kashi Bhaiya, his immor to die for. Lastly the team and its team work who helped to put this course together was beyond words, expressions, etc. Hats off.

Receiving initiation in Gayatri Mantra was a powerful experience, giving ne intentions, energy and a path to go deep into meditation. I noticed a deep shift in myself within 3 days of th practice of Sandhyavandana. Receiving the sacred thread signifies absolving and surrendering every time one does the practice to the fire and to Guruji. I am thankful for receiving such a beautiful knowledge and am looking forward to repeat the Upanayan again.

It gave a new birth to me, powerful vedic mantra chanting- Gayatri mantra invocation, agnikarya followed by bhajans and knowledge by swamiji, awareness of eating food- it was a blissful experience. I wish I could live my live following the ancient dharma (sanatana dharma) lifelong- which is highly scientific, and yet simple to practice. If in case i take a rebirth- i should be born in a tradition, following the GURUKUL system. I express my deepest gratitude to MY GURUDEV, swami Krishnaji, Teacher, and volunteers and participants to make me experience such a graceful ceremony. After getting initiated, when i chanted the Gayatri mantra for the first time, I felt as if electricity was flowing through me, forging me from inside. I felt very powerful. I was aware then, that this is a moment of change, within. Each day, when i do my sandhyavandana, I feel immense calmness, and it’s like recharging of my energies for the day ahead.

Pradnya Wagh-

When I was told to do Upnayanam, I had no idea what exactly is going to happen to me. But then I just got myself registered for the course thinking that my Guru's wish is my command! On the first day of the course Krishna swamiji told us that this our second birth; Gayatri is our mata and Guru is our pita now. It was so wonderful to know that! All five days were enchanting and Krishna swamiji's presence was mesmerising! I could feel that something has moved inside me and I was completely new; it was indeed a new birth! I feel more close to my Guru now and this feeling can’t be expressed in words!! Jai Gurudev!

Nayan Kapadia-

I had no idea about the course when I registered for it. I found it really enchanting. Getting initiated into the Gayatri Mantra made me move closer to myself. Gagangiri Ashram is an awesome place, and the environment here is very soothing. I wanted to learn sanskrit and gain more knowledge, and with the grace of Guruji, I’ve taken my first step towards it.

Saidatta Hunaswadkar-

By the end of the course, i felt so attached to the practice that those 5 days seemed very less. The level of self belief went above and beyond the pre- conceived expectations. Especially, if you are a valetudinarian, the Agni Karya and the Gayatri Mantra Chanting destroys that feeling, making you more energetic each passing day. PS- Peacock and greenery is a rare sight in this never sleeping city. Do the Upanayan and watch your life climbing the peak which you never thought it would. Jai Gurudev.
